David L. Cripe, 69, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 26, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Bond or Fayette County Hospice and/or Donors Choice. He was born June 2, 1943, in Fayette County, Seminary Township, IL, son of Rufus Cripe and Edith E. (Bone) Cripe. He married Sally Thacker on September 15, 1962, in Pittsburg, IL. He was a Retired Farmer. He is survived by: Wife: Sally; Son: Mike Cripe and Joan; Daughter: Marcy Stone and Ken; Brother: Maurice Cripe and Marjorie; Grandchildren: Brenden & Blake Cripe and Jake Stone.
