Daniel E. "Boone" Carruthers, 85, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, in Springfield, IL.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL,with Pastor Travis Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. He was born April 13, 1937, in Elkhorn, WI, the son of Claude P. & Ima S. (Hardiman) Carruthers. Married Deborah Sue Woodward on April 22, 1989, in Danville, Kentucky. Boone was a Physical Therapist with Memorial Home Healthcare throughout the surrounding area and was a member of Vera Baptist Church, Vera, IL and Brownstown Baptist Church, Brownstown, IL.

He is survived by: Wife - Deborah Sue Carruthers, Ramsey, IL: Son - Daniel "Boonie" Carruthers & Lisa, Ramsey, IL: 4 Daughters - Lana Black & Cloyd, Auburn, IL,Danita Tippet & Jason, Jones, OK, Melinda Carruthers, Saint Petersburg, FL and Ima Jo Towler & Travis, Plymouth, OH: Brother - Richard Carruthers, Ramsey, IL: 2 Sisters - Donna Depew, Shiloh, IL and Nancy Stanton, Hillsboro, IL: 13 Grandchildren - 11 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Parents: 4 Brothers - Robert, Ray, Roy and Cloide and 6 Sisters - Claudia Alice, Mary, Rosallie, Helen, Rebecca and Imogene.
