Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, June 08, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials: First United Methodist Church and/or Friends & Families of Fayette Co. Hospital, both of Vandalia, IL. He was born January 27, 1926, in Champaign, IL, the son of Lester R. & Glenna Dow (Price) Freeman. Married Norma "Jean" Chamberlin on June 20, 1948, Urbana, IL. He was a Manager for AT&T and a self-employed Telephone Tech.; WWII Navy Veteran; Member of Crawford-Hale Post #95 American Legion; First United Methodist Church; Past President, Vandalia Park District and Vandalia Rotary, all of Vandalia, IL; and Chairman, American Red Cross Blood Drive.
