Claudine Patsy "Pat" Roberts, 94, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at her home in Vandalia, IL.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, December 19, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Bingham, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, two hours prior to the service on Monday at the church. Memorials: Festival of Lights, please make checks payable to the City of Vandalia with Festival of Lights in the memo, and/or Liberty Church, Bingham, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.
Pat was born October 26, 1928, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Claud & Maude (Cunningham) Richardson. Married Harold "Dean" Roberts on May 17, 1947, in Vandalia, IL. He passed away on January 23, 2020. Pat graduated from Vandalia High School in 1946, was a Homemaker, invented the world-famous Bonanza bread pudding, won best employee, employee of the month and employee of the year while working at Bonanza, was a member of Shafter Home Extension, was a cook and ran the kitchen at the Rehobeth Church Camp, was affiliated with Liberty Church in Bingham, IL, was a bookkeeper for Fredman's Furniture Store in Vandalia, and taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by: Sons - David Roberts & Judy, Vandalia, IL and Kenny Roberts & Kathy, Vandalia, IL; Daughters - Sue Roberts, Ramsey, IL, Cindy Laramee & Alan, Vandalia, IL, and Heidi Cade & Rich, Vandalia, IL; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of Pat's Caregivers, with a special thank you to Sue Fitch.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; 2 Brothers; and 1 Sister.
