Claude Charles Willis, Jr., 64, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at his home.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday September 1, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL, with Pastor Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery Rural Ramsey, IL, with Military Rites by Ramsey American Legion Post #460. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, and 1 hour Thursday morning prior to the service all at the FirstBaptist Church, Ramsey IL. Memorials: Ramsey American Legion Post #460. Claude was born August 17, 1958, in Flora, IL, the son of Claude Charles & Rosie Mae (Tidwell) Willis Sr. He married Karen S. Wilson on May 23, 1981 in Ramsey, Illinois. Claude retired from the Vandalia Correctional Center and served in the U.S. Army. Throughout the years he served Ramsey in many ways; Fire Chief, Village Trustee, Mayor, and was a member Ramsey American Legion Post #460 and a former member of the Bingham Baptist Church, Bingham, IL. Claude was a loving husband, dad & papa. He loved camping with the Roberts & Smiths and hunting with his son and grandkids. He loved Christmas time and dressing up as "Santa Claude".

Claude is survived by: Wife Karen Willis, of Ramsey, IL.

Son - Jason Willis & Kayla, Ramsey, IL; Daughter - Jennifer Koski & Jason Ramsey, IL; Grandchildren - Mykennah, Hunter, Jazmyn, Hoyt, Jaxon, and Jayden; Sister - Jackie Smith & Ed, Vandalia, IL; Brother - Paul Willis & Stacie, Decatur, IL. Many Nieces and Nephews.
