Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Dr. Ward Sussenbach, officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery Rural Vandalia, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 4, 2019 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. He was born, August 23, 1940, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Charles Gibbons & Margaret Ann (Guenger) Lett Sr. Married Beverly Sue Case January 29, 1966, in Collinsville, IL. He was a Vanilla Flavor Formulator for Beck Flavors, St. Louis MO, Navy Veteran and a member of the Eagles Club.

He is survived by Wife - Beverly "Bev" Lett, Vandalia, IL; Sons - Ted Caldwell & Gwen, Gillespie, IL and Charles Lett III "Chuck" & Tammy, Vandalia, IL; Daughter - Terrie Lynn Tipler & Jim, Decatur, AL; Brother - John Robert Lett, Fairview Heights, IL; Sisters - Mary Margaret Heuertz & Jim, Georgetown, TX , Jean Corea, St. Louis, MO and Kathy Lett, Fairview Heights, IL; 5 Grandchildren - Amanda F. Pfeiffer, Beth S. Baugh, Todd M. Tipler, Kristin N. Tipler and Jenna R. Lett; 3 Great Grandchildren - Lexi M. Pfeiffer, Braden G. Pfeiffer and Autumn L. Baugh.
