Carter M. Hill, 87, of Vandalia, Illinois, formerly of Fillmore, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Greenville Nursing & Rehab Ctr., Greenville, IL.

He was born July 12, 1934, in Fayette County, IL, the son of Rev. Burlis O. & Mary Hylda (Carter) Hill. Married Janet Gail Alexander on August 28, 1952 in Detroit, MI, she passed away August 20, 2008. He worked as a superintendent at ARCO Rubber Co. while in Detroit; Owner/Operator of his construction company "HELICO" for the bulk of his life; former Mason; and was affiliated with Fillmore Baptist Church, Fillmore, IL.

He is survived by: Son - Rev. Justin Hill & Kelli, Wheeler, IL; Daughters - Cindy Otto & Roger, Ramsey, IL and Crystal Lawler & Ron, Mulberry Grove, IL; Brother - Paul Hill, Elsberry, MO; Sister - Patricia Schlicter & William, Michigan; Grandchildren - Heidi, Heather, Hillary and Trevor; 8Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
