Carla Sue Meyer, 60, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Vandalia, IL.

She was born February 2, 1964, in Greenville, IL, the daughter of James and Nora (Roberts) Blaylock. She was raised by her adoptive parents, David Eugene and Darlene Ann (Edwards) Meyer. Carla loved her morning coffee, being outside, fishing, and watching cooking shows. She enjoyed going out to Vandalia Lake and sitting by the water. Carla lost her hard-fought battle with stage 4 cancer. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by: Sons - Joe Hayden & Brittany, Arkansas and Brandon Meyer, Granite City, IL; Grandchildren - Chloe Meyer, Maelynn Hayden, and Jaxon Hayden; Brothers - James Blaylock and Carl Lemay; Sisters - Rosie Shelman, Hattie Kuzma, Nora Hornberger, Patricia Marshall; Great Niece and Caretaker - Natasha Orbits and her daughter, Isabella Finley; many other nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Life Partner - Joseph Hayden Sr.; Brother - Claude Blaylock; Sister - Carol Blaylock.
