Carl Dean Moreland, 77, of Bingham, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at Hillsboro Area Hospital ER, Hillsboro, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL, with Pastor Travis Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 22, 2023, prior to the service at the church. Memorials: Shriners Hospitals for Children. Born June 8, 1946, in Bingham, IL, the son of Carl Junior & Betty A. (Gilkeson) Moreland. He married Sharon Lynn Bowers on December 5, 1970 in Fillmore, IL. He was a guard at Vandalia Correctional Center, retiring after 25 years; and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era.

Survived by: Wife - Sharon Moreland, Bingham, IL; Son - Shawn Moreland & Mindy, Bingham, IL; Daughters - Carlena Hand & Brad and Erin Marley & Joe, all of Fillmore, IL; Brothers - Carroll Moreland & Candy and Gary Moreland, all of Vandalia, IL, Ricky Moreland & Robin, Rudy Moreland & Javerna, Barry Moreland and Randy Moreland & Kathy, all of Ramsey, IL, Brent Moreland & Charity and Brian Moreland & Michele, all of Bingham, IL; Sisters - Donna Harrison, Vandalia, IL, Gaylyn Casey & Mike, Hillsboro, IL, Darlene Rolfingsmeier, Pontiac, IL and Cheryl Rolfingsmeier & Glen, Bingham, IL; and Grandchildren - Delaney, Leah, Cloey, Malakai, Miah, Carley, Lyla, Hannah, Jake and Cora.
