Carl E. Chrisman, 73, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, at his home in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 13, 2022, at First Church of God, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Zach Schaeffer officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, Rural Mulberry Grove, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, June 13, 2022, 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Carl was born August 22, 1948, in Saint Elmo, IL, the son of Charles Eugene & Violet Alice (Rush) Chrisman. Married Rita Sue Purvis on February 28, 1971, in Vandalia, IL. He retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections Meat Processing Plant; Member of First Church of God, Vandalia, IL and IL Association of Meat Processors.

He is survived by: Wife - Rita Chrisman, Vandalia, IL; Daughter - Lori Baker & Tim, Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren - Dalton and Kiah Waschle, Triston, Chalie and Niki Jo Chrisman; and Sister - Betty McCombs, Vandalia, IL.

Preceded in death by: His Parents; Son - Charlie Chrisman; Brother - David Chrisman; Sister - Lois Ann Chrisman; and Step-Son - Jim Gray.
