Bonnie L. Branum, 87, of Fillmore, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Justin Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2022, 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, IL. He was born October 22, 1934, in Fayette County, IL, the son of Leroy & Sadie Okal (Merriman) Branum. Married Gloria Maxine Alexander on June 10, 1955, in Fillmore, IL, she passed away August 6, 2011. He was a retired farmer; Member of Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL; Past member of S. Fillmore Township Board, Montgomery Co. Board, Okaw Saddle & King City Saddle Club, Witt Lion's Club, Montgomery Co. Fair Association, Glendale Cemetery Board and Vandalia School Board. Bonnie was an avid sportsman and horseman, raised Quarter Horses for 50 years, enjoyed meeting with friends at Coffee and Gab at Fillmore, and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by: Daughter - Barbara Cearlock & John, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Colleen Cole & Chris, Fillmore, IL and Jason Cearlock & Jamie, Ballwin, MO; and Great Grandchildren - Josey, Autry and Trace Cole and Max and Olivia Cearlock.

Preceded in death by: His parents; Wife; Daughter - Dana Branum 1968; Brother - Lawrence Curtis Beesley; and Sister - Betty Smith.
