Bobby Joe Moreland, 76, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hosp., Saint Louis, MO.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL, with Military Rites by Ramsey and Herrick American Legion Post. Born May 14, 1946, in Pana, IL, the son of Louie Ray & Naomi (Turner) Moreland. He worked at Vandalia Correctional Center in the Maintenance Department; U.S. Navy Veteran; was a former Mason and member of National Turkey Federation. Bobby loved making turkey strikes; woodworking; fishing; turkey hunting and spending time with his family.

Survived by: Dau-in-law - Tanya Schum, Decatur, IL; Granddaughter - Kaylin Moreland, Decatur, IL; Sister - Mary Estes, Ramsey, IL; Niece - Connie Roberts & Donnie, Ramsey, IL; and Friend - Russell Schwarm, Vandalia, IL.

Preceded in death by: His Parents; Son - Chad Moreland; Brothers - Tommy and Louie "Eddie" Moreland; Sister - Helen Oakley; and Mr. Russell.
