Billy Don VanHooser, 54, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at his home in Vandalia, IL.

He was born February 17, 1968, in Knoxville, TN, the son of Jerry Don & Frances Grace (Russell) VanHooser. He married Rebecca Deann Shields on May 28, 2009, in Greenville, IL, she passed away February 15, 2021. He was a carpenter and known as a jack of all trades. He was a natural character and had a wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by: Father - Jerry Don VanHooser, Meadowbrook, IL; Sons - Cody R. VanHooser & Jody, Vandalia, IL and Matt Shields & Kayla, Pocahontas, IL; Grandson - Emmett Shields; Sisters - Tina VanHooser, Meadowbrook, IL, Faye VanHooser, Gillespie, IL, and Karen Brown, Ava, MO.
Preceded in death by: Mother; Wife; and Brother - Dean VanHooser.
