Billy L. Koonce, 79, of Fillmore, IL, died on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at St. Johns Hospital, in Springfield, IL.

Graveside Services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Green-Hill Cemetery in Rural Fillmore, IL, with Pastor Harry Kirk, officating. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Miller Funeral Home in Fillmore is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials: American Cancer Society.

He was born on September 07, 1935, in Fayette County, IL, the son of Roy and Marena E. (Jay) Koonce. He married Nelda June "June" Ricke on August 03, 1955, in Shafter Twp., she passed away April 27, 2010. Billy was affiliated with Parkview Free Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL.

He is survived by: Sons: James Koonce & Linda, Bingham, IL and Ted Koonce & Jamie, Coffeen, IL; Brothers: Harold Koonce, Mendota, IL, Bob Koonce, Gibson City, IL, Don Koonce, Vandalia, IL, & Keith Koonce, Hillsboro, IL; Sisters: Dorothy Gephart and Aline Trulock, Raymond, IL, Arlene Gerwolls, Witt, IL, & Linda Sue Townsend, Vandalia, IL; Daughter-in-law: Barbara Koonce; Grandchildren: Josh, Jestin, James & Kayla; Great Grandchildren: MaKenna & Mason.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Wife; Sons: Donald Koonce,1975 and Ronald Koonce, 2013 and 2 Infant sisters.
