Billy Joe "Joe" Cook, 80, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Springfield, IL.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 3, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Ramsey, Ramsey, IL, with Rev. Jeff Shouse, officiating. Burial will follow at Bolt Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorials: Bolt Cemetery.

He was born April 7, 1936, in Ramsey, IL, the son of Tony Thiele & Ida Marie (Manley) Cook. Married Sandy Kay Leigh on December 24, 1966, Ramsey, IL. He was a retired Farmer; Previous Owner/Operator of Cooks Country Store; and former employee at RC Patterson Trucking. Joe was affiliated with the Christian Faith and was a US Army Veteran-Korea.

He is survived by: Wife - Sandy Cook, Ramsey, IL; Sons - Kenny Joe Cook & Wendy and Kal John Cook & Cassandra, all of Ramsey, IL; Brothers -Jerry Cook & Tricia, Ramsey, IL and Jack Cook & Betty, Edgewood, IL; Sister - Janet Cook, Mattoon, IL; Sister-in-law - Kellie Cook, Olney, IL; and Grandchildren - Kyle, Koester, Kaden, Kennady, Kalasandra, Kelli, Kora, and Karson.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Brother - John Cook; and Sister - Infant - Janine.
