Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 02, 2016, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, , with Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 02, 2016,* before service at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia,IL. Memorials: Activity Fund at Fayette Co. Hospital Long Term Care.

She was born November 28, 1929, in Shreveport, LA, the daughter of Thomas Marvin & Lela Agnes (McCown) Melton. Married James Elton Sprayberry, June 27, 1948 in Fouke, AK. She was a retired Office Manager for Vandalia Cable Co. Member of First Baptist - Unity Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Vandalia Woman's Club and former member of Vandalia Country & Golf club.

She is survived by: Husband - James Elton Sprayberry, Vandalia, IL
Son - Tom Sprayberry & Karen, Blarisville, GA; Daughter - Cindy Scoles & Mike, Casa Grande, AZ; 5 Grandchildren - Sean, Jason, Brian, Shane & Emily; 13 Great Grandchildren; Half-Sister - Oralee Murray, Bossier City, LA.
