Betty M. Zimmer, 89, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018, at Fayette County Hospital, Long Term Care, Vandalia, IL.

Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Doug Wodtka, officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the funeral home. Memorials: Overcup Baptist Church, Rural Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 9, 1929, in IL, the daughter of Albert Rine & Opal Fern (Chandler) Rine-Scott. Married Robert D. Ritter, March 10, 1947, Vandalia, IL, he passed away March, 30, 1989. Betty married Pete Wheatley, he passed away and later married Charles H. Zimmer December 16, 2000, in Vandalia, IL, he passed away June 10, 2012. She was a Homemaker; affiliated with Overcup Baptist Church, a former member of Melrose Chapter 243 O.E.S., Women of the Moose and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by: Grandchildren - Mark Ritter & Missy, Ramsey, IL; Matthew Ritter and Kim, Bluff City, IL; Great Grandchildren - Wes, Cecilia, Jason and Macie; and Daughter-in-law - Mary Jo Ritter, Vandalia, IL.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Husbands; 1 Son - Robert "Junior" Ritter, Jr., April, 26, 1997.
