Betty J. Thoman, 95, of Kingston, Tennessee, formerly of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Kingston, TN.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tuscola United Methodist Church. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 6, 1925, in Fayette Co., IL, the daughter of Marion & Edna (Benefiel) Siebert. Married Julian Thoman on February 12, 1949, Vandalia, IL, he passed away in 2017. She worked for Illinois Bell for 8 years in Vandalia, General Telephone for 6 months and then as a dental assistant for Dr. Stanley Cross for 32 years, both in Tuscola, IL.
She is survived by: Daughter - Pamela L. McDonald & David, Kingston, TN; 4 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; Brother - Gary Siebert, Mulberry Grove, IL; and Sister - Carolyn Thompson, Vandalia, IL.
Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Husband - Julian Thoman; Infant Daughter - Deborah Thoman; Sisters - Marjorie Bailey, Wanda Mahon ,Mary Cole and Connie Bingham; and Brothers - Robert Siebert and James Siebert.
