Betty W. Snyder, 95, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019, in Fayette County Hospital, LTC, Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 6, 2019, at Bethel Baptist Church, Rural Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson and Dr. Ben Foxworth, officiating. Burial will follow at Browning Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL and 1 hr. prior to the service at the church on Friday. She was born August 16, 1924, in Shafter Twp., IL, the daughter of Ernest William & Morna Evelyna (Bess) Himes. Married Ivan Maurice "Jim" Snyder on January 30, 1943, Missouri, he passed away March 5, 1985. She was a Homemaker; Member of Bethel Baptist Church; Bingham and Shafter Home Extension; and Former 4-H Leader.

She is survived by: Daughters - Bonnie Hall, Pana, IL, Doris Kelly, Pana, IL, Carolyn Burrus, Bingham, IL, and Shirley Ray, Vandalia, IL; Sons - Larry Snyder and Leroy Snyder, both of Vandalia, IL; Several Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Son - Kenneth Snyder, 2006; Brothers - Clarence Lloyd, Maurice Dean, Marsden Curtis and Raymond Lee; Sisters - Verna Helen Stallings, Norma June Trexler, Esther Lucille Traylor, Evelyn Arlene Scott and Velma Bernice Himes; and 1 Grandson - Mark.
