Betty Delaine Dayton, 95, of St. Louis, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Saint Louis, MO.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Donor's Choice. She was born July 29, 1928, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Abbie and Bessie Mae (Bryan) Dayton. Betty moved to St. Louis, MO as a young adult. She became an executive administrative assistant at Monsanto. Her career then continued at St. Louis Bank and Wagner Electric.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her dear friend, Tom, and her family and friends. She especially enjoyed visiting her friends in Vandalia, IL. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by: Nieces and Nephews - Karen Dinsmore, Nancy Haner, Gary Penrod, Ken Penrod, and Debbie Damery.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Brother - Charles Dayton; Sisters - Leota Damery and Helen Penrod; Nephew - Ron Damery; Cousin - Dave Dayton; Special Friend - Tom Schlesinger.
