Carmel Baptist Church in Rural Ramsey, IL. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, in Rural Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Miller Funeral Homes, Ramsey, IL, and 10:00AM -11:00AM, Tuesday at the Church. Memorials: Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL. Betty was born on November 28, 1946, in Vandalia, IL, the Daughter of James Waldo and Mary Lucille (Walstrom) Lockwood. She married Gene Edmond Ballard on January 9, 1966 in Bayle City, IL. Gene passed December 1, 2006. Betty was a retired Quality Inspector at Graham Packing, Vandalia, IL and was a member of Bayle City Baptist Church, Bayle City, IL. She is survived her Mother: Mary Lockwood, Ramsey, IL; 3 Daughters: Diana Cline & Al, Atlanta, IL; Patti VanUytven, Shobonier, IL; Karen Bauer, Shobonier, IL; 7 Grandchildren: Mitch, Ethan, Jared, Amber, Emily, Patrick & Ashley; Brother: Francis Lockwood & Diane, Edwardsville, IL; Sister: Debi Grubaugh & Dennis, Charleston, IL. She is preceded in death by her Father and Husband.
