She was born September 17, 1933, in Shafter Twp, Fayette Co. IL, the daughter of Chester H. & Cleda F. (Cook) Carter-Coin. Married James J. Sachan August 22, 1980, Rural Shobonier, IL. Anita was a retired CNA at Cherrywood Healthcare Center and a retired employee of P.N. Hirsch Warehouse, both of Vandalia, IL. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rural Shobonier, IL and Affiliated with Frist Assembly of God Church, Vandalia, IL.

She is survived by: Husband - James J. Sachan, Marine, IL; Sons - Keith E. Cole & Frances, Vandalia, IL and Justin Cole & Robin, Shobonier, IL; Daughter - Verna A. Spoto & Kenny, Highland, IL; Brother - Keith Carter & Mary, Fillmore, IL; Sister - Mareda Schert, Saint Elmo, IL
Grandchildren - John Lansford & Nicky; Chris Cole & Colleen, Shauna Gieseking & Nick; Kim Kloss & Kyle, Kayla Spoto & Brian and Ryan Cole
