Maurice D. Cripe, 81, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Vandalia Rehab & Health Care in Vandalia, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 1, 2018, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Joe Lawson, officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, RFD Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: To the Family.
He was born, February 2, 1937, in Rural Vandalia, IL, the son of Rufus & Edith E. (Bone) Cripe. Married Marjorie Faye Forehand on February 11, 1956, in Vandalia, IL. He was the former Owner/Operator of Cripes Used Car Sales, Vandalia, IL.
He is survived by: Wife - Marjorie Faye Cripe, Vandalia, IL; Son - Larry Cripe & Diane, Bingham, IL; Daughter - Sandra Cripe, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Rick Cripe & Maranatha, Palmetto, FL; Morse Hames & Emily, St. Elmo, IL; Tyler Cripe & Tiera, Hagarstown, IL; Shalet Carroll, Fillmore, IL; Brady Cripe & Casey, Bingham, IL; and Christopher Carroll & Elizabeth, Charles City, VA; Several Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: His Parents and Brother- David Cripe.
