Vona I. Cook, 90, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019, at her home in Decatur, IL.

She was born February 12, 1929, in Boody, IL, the daughter of George & Lida Sarah (Swarms) Brown. Married Lester Vern  Cook, Sr. on June 25, 1950 in Corinth, MS, he passed away October 14, 1980. She was formerly employed as an Inspector at Taylor Pharmaceuticals, Decatur, IL.

She is survived by: Son - Lester Cook, Jr., Sorento, IL; Daughters - Charlotte Purkes & Cecil, Warrensburg, IL and Lida Cook, Decatur, IL; 6 Grandchildren; and Brother - George Brown, Decatur, IL. 

Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Brother - Carl Brown.
