Willie Frances Welch

U.S. Veteran

Willie Frances Welch, 89 of Ramsey, Illinois died on Friday, July 20, 2012, at her Son's home in Ramsey, Illinois.

Born May 7, 1923 in Fletcher, Texas, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar and Fannie Lou (Brady) Jenkins. She married Charles Marvin Welch, September 15, 1944 in New Orleans, LA, Charles passed away December 24, 2006.

She was a Navy Veteran of World War II., A retired Secretary and Homemaker. Frances was a member of Union Christian Church and Anderson Scroggins Post # 460 American Legion both of Ramsey, IL.

Surviving are son, Paul Welch & Marilyn of Ramsey, IL, daughter, Jeanne Leich & Gary of Lincoln, IL, sister, Gloria Dunlap of Kountze, TX; 4 grandchildren; Ami, Tim, Carleta & Pauletta: 5 great grandchildren, Drake, Michael, Grace, Lydia & Levi.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL, burial will follow in Welch Cemetery, RFD Ramsey, IL. with Military Rites.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, , Ramsey, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be sent to Veteran's Memorial Wall Fund @ Anderson-Scroggins Post 460 American Legion Ramsey, IL and/or Fayette County Health Department Hospice, Vandalia, IL .
