Lida M. Hale

Lida M. Hale, 90, of Vandalia, IL, died on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Roger Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, in Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 13, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL and 1 hour before the Service at the Church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials: Caring & Sharing, Fayette Co. Food Bank both in Vandalia, IL and/or Muscular Dystrophy Association 115 N. Neil St., Suite 100, Champaign, IL 61820. Online memories & condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net Lida was born on February 3, 1922, in Springfield, IL the daughter of John F. and Lillie Mae (Evitts) Hinds. She married Wayne Leonard Hale on May 24, 1941 in Springfield, IL. She was the Owner of Odds & Ends Antiques, Vandalia, IL and a Homemaker. Lida was a member of First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL, formerly active in the P.T.A. and was a Scout Leader.

She is survived by Husband: Wayne Hale, Vandalia, IL; Sons: Cliff Hale & Linda, Morton, IL and Gary Hale, Vandalia, IL; Daughters: Lynn Manley, Morton, IL and Amy Schaal & Greg, Shobonier, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Justin, Jerad, Ali, Emily, Ryan & Whitney; 12 Great Grandchildren: Alex, Kenny, Molly, Gracie, Avery, Charlie, Max, Lily, Michael, Henry, Tucker & Ethan.

Preceded in death by Parents, 2 Brothers, 2 Sisters & Grandson-John.
